♠ Mind Meld

Sherlock Holmes, Mr. Spock and Tony Stark play bridge.

Mind Meld is a seven-episode story series that sits famous minds down at a bridge table. Tyrion Lannister has notes on his partner's bidding. Mr. Spock can't make sense of the Weak 2 Bid, a bid you make on a weak hand on purpose. And in the newest episode, a newcomer named Evie Archer gets an invitation from Sherlock Holmes. Created by Tracey Bauer, produced by Bridge Unleashed.

Hi, I'm Tracey. I made Mind Meld because bridge is a better story than its reputation, and because I wanted to watch Mr. Spock try to make sense of a Weak 2 Bid. Start with episode 7. It's the one I'd send a friend who has never held a hand.

♠ The name

Why call it Mind Meld?

Two partners, thirteen cards each, and no talking allowed. Every hand of bridge is a mind meld.

Bridge is memory, intuition and reading the person across the table, and it connects partners across generations. Mind Meld shows that side of it, fresh and a little strange, whether you've played for thirty years or have never picked up a card.

♣ Three small things

Help keep the series going

Seven episodes are out. If you want the series to keep going, three things help.

  1. Subscribe to Bridge Unleashed on YouTube, so the next episode finds you.

  2. Send episode 7 to one person who thinks bridge isn't for them.

  3. Mention it at your club. Word at the table travels.

Episode 7: Meet Evie
