How I got here

Part one
The card table
I grew up in a game-playing family. Cards were always on the table, and I was always in the game.
Part two
Top 50 on Yahoo Spades
By college I was a serious Spades player, ranked in the top 50 out of tens of thousands on Yahoo Spades. I already thought in tricks, the four-card rounds that decide every hand.
Part three
Bridge, in my early 30s
Then I met my husband and married into bridge. I learned the game in my early 30s, and the first time I played, I got it. The bidding was a language and the partnership was the point. I never looked back. I taught myself the rest with books, BridgeMaster, and the beginner-intermediate club on Bridge Base Online (BBO), where I've played as MarinTlc since 2007.

I came to bridge in my 30s, taught myself, and won two World Bridge Federation titles. That's exactly why I know you can.

Why I built
Bridge Unleashed

Bridge has had a great marketer in every important era. Ely Culbertson in the 1930s. Charles Goren in the 1950s and 60s. Each one rewrote the game's image for their time and brought millions of new players in.

Our era is missing that person. So I took the seat.

I spent 33 years as a luxury wholesale account manager, working with small businesses on behalf of houses like Chanel, Tiffany & Co. and Bulgari, then built Lens on Luxury as an AI media agency. When I looked at how bridge was being taught and marketed, the gap was obvious. A beautiful game, wrapped in jargon, gatekeeping and club politics that scare off the exact people who would love it.

Bridge Unleashed is my answer. We teach the way tournament players actually play, in language a beginner can follow. No shame. No jargon. No "you should already know that." Ask an obvious question in our community and you get a generous answer. Undoing that gatekeeping is the whole reason I built this. Bridge is the chess of card games, and you can learn it at your own kitchen table at 10pm, at your own pace, from a friend who happens to know what tournament players do differently.
