What if bridge wasn’t just a card game, but a portal to something bigger—something smarter, deeper, and more human?
That question sparked the creation of Mind Meld, a new cinematic series from Bridge Unleashed that reimagines how we talk about—and fall in love with—bridge.
Our latest episode introduces Evie Archer, a thoughtful, stylish newcomer who finds herself unexpectedly pulled into the world of bridge after receiving a mysterious invitation from her old friend, Sherlock Holmes.
Evie isn’t a bridge player (yet). But like many of us, she’s always followed her curiosity. And when that curiosity meets an ancient game filled with logic, memory, and psychological nuance… things get interesting.
“I’ve read the rules. Now I want to feel the game,” she says.
And just like that, we’re off.
Bridge has always been more than numbers and suits. It’s a mindsport. A conversation. A story unfolding between four people across a table.
With Mind Meld, I wanted to capture that story in a new way—one that honors the game’s depth while making it feel modern, cinematic, and accessible to people who might never have seen a bridge table up close.
This isn’t a tutorial series. It’s not just for experts.
It’s for the curious. For those who appreciate strategy, character, and the thrill of learning something timeless.
The first full episode is live now. It’s short, beautiful, and made with love—for the game and the people who keep it alive.
Creating high-quality content like this takes time, talent, and care. If you believe, like I do, that bridge deserves this kind of storytelling, here’s how you can help:

Mind Meld is just getting started. In upcoming episodes, you’ll meet more characters—some inspired by pop culture, others by real bridge players—each exploring the game from a fresh perspective.
We’re building a bridge (pun fully intended) between generations, one story at a time.
Thank you for watching, sharing, and supporting this journey.
See you at the table,

Every post here comes from the same place the workshops do, championship-level bridge taught in plain English. Here is what you will find:

Conventions, Explained
The bidding tools tournament players rely on, taken one at a time. Stayman, Jacoby Transfers, Negative Doubles, Weak Two Bids, and the rest of the fifty. Each one in plain English, with the hands that show you why it works.

Play and Defense
How to plan a hand before you play to trick one, count the room, and read your partner’s signals. These are the skills that turn a decent bidder into a player who brings the contract home.

Stories From the Table
World champions, legendary partnerships, and the culture of the game. Interviews and tournament coverage you will not find anywhere else, from someone who plays in the events.

Start From Zero
Never held thirteen cards before? Start with the glossary and the beginner guides. No jargon, no judgment, no club politics. Everybody starts somewhere and nobody here will make you feel it.
